WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!
At the October General Membership Meeting on 10/2/2025, the JOCO Serra Club welcomed new members, Ann Pickert, and Rosey and Fred Bacaling.
Ann Pickert (photo left, with her husband, Steve) joins the club, while Steve is a member of the Serra Club of Kansas City, KS. She is thrilled to be a Serran and looks forward to getting engaged with club activities.
Rosey and Fred Bacaling (photo below right) moved to the Kansas City area
about from Franklin, TN, two years ago. They had been members of a Serra club prior to relocating to Overland Park. They, too, are eager to become active in the JOCO Serra Club.

A crowd of about forty folks representing fifteen parishes attended the kick-off program of the Serra IGNITE! program in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The event was held at Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City. Read on for details!

Though small in numbers (in terms of Serrans attending) the annual seminary visit, this year to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO, was again a success by every other measure. See inside for details!

In July 2025, seminarians Drew Stanley and Jimmy Mendoza undertook a pilgrimage to California to close out the summer's experience prior to returning to seminary life and to explore a part of the country where neither had previously traveled, seeking God's presence in every encounter. Before departure, the men requested prayer intentions from Serrans, which they carried with them during their travels. They were in for more than a few surprises. Read the story of their experience!
