Date: Thursday, August 7th, 2025
Time: Mass at 5:30 pm with dinner to follow
Place: Church of the Ascension, Overland Park
This event is an occasion to welcome and celebrate our seminarians as they begin their next year of formation and is sponsored by Archdiocesan Serra Clubs. Seminarians, their parents and pastors, our formation team, and Serrans are invited to attend.
This year, two men will join the ranks of seminarians for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas: Gabriel Pryor and Zane Roberts.
Gabrie
l Pryor (left), from Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish in Topeka, is a recent homeschool graduate. He will enter the Propaedeutic Stage of formation at Cardinal Glennon Seminary College in St. Louis in August.
Zane Roberts (below right) graduated from Kansas State University with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and earned a master's degree from K-State in
Business Administration in December 2022. He has served as a FOCUS missionary for the past 2.5 years at the University of North Dakota. Zane's home parish is St. Joseph in Flush, KS. He will enter the Propaedeutic Stage of formation at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver in August.
