Serra Ignite, a parish vocations program developed by the Serra U.S.A. Council will become part of life in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.

In a recent letter to pastors around the archdiocese, Director of Vocations, Fr. Dan Morris, touted the Serra Ignite program as a means of fostering vocations. In his letter, Fr. Morris stated, "According to the 2024 (Center of Applied Research in the Apostolate) CARA report, 89% of seminarians reported being encouraged to consider the priesthood by someone in their life (most frequently by their parish priest), 75% went to Eucharistic Adoration on a regular basis, 71% served as altar servers, 51% participated in parish youth group before entering the seminary."

Fr. Morris continue in his letter to pastors: "Because of the important vocations work to be done in parishes, the Office of Vocations and Archdiocesan Serra Clubs are working together to bring a workshop called IGNITE to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Savior Pastoral Center, beginning with Mass at 8:30 am, followed by a workshop hosted at Keleher Conference Cetner, and ending with a Holy Hour for Vocations at 3:15 pm. The workshop promises to help create a culture of vocations in parishes by forming Parish Vocations Ministries.
